Oxygen is decomposed from the anode into 2H2O=4H++2O-2, and the decomposed negative oxygen ions (O-2) then release electrons at the anode to form oxygen (O2), which is discharged from the anode chamber and carries some water into the water tank. The water can be recycled, and oxygen is released into the atmosphere through a small hole on the top of the water tank. Hydrogen gas is decomposed from the cathode, and hydrogen protons are in the form of hydrated ions (H+• XH2O). Under the action of electric field force, they pass through the SPE ion membrane and reach the cathode to absorb electrons, forming hydrogen gas. After being discharged from the cathode chamber, it enters the gas water separator, where most of the water carried out from the electrolytic cell is removed. Hydrogen gas containing trace amounts of water is then dried in a dryer to achieve a purity of over 99.995%.
